1) How do i know what dates are available?
Feel free to check out the "Cabin Availability" page by clicking on the top of the web page and view the Google Calendar. The cabin will be close until Spring of 2021. Please check back for availability.
2) What food do we need to bring?
The Cabin is “Carry-in/Carry-out”. We will not be keeping any food or condiments at the cabin for obvious reasons. However, there are appliances, cooking utensils, serving dishes, equipment, grilling tools, etc. for all of your cooking and eating needs. Renters are responsible for cleaning returning all used equipment to it’s proper place. There will be a Garbage Can located at the edge of the driveway under the pine tress, please place your garbage in that container. ALL RECYCLING must be removed when you leave. There is a recycling station located along Route 44 on the way to 220 on the right hand side at the Township Shed.
3) What about linens and towels?
Clean linens and towels will be available for you upon your arrival. We will not supply pillows. We understand everyone has their own preference so if you would like to bring your own towels, linens, sleeping bags, etc. please feel free.
4) Do you have a washing machine?
There is a washing machine and a dryer located in the Garage for your use. Please be courteous and environmentally conscious ...we have a well and like to conserve unnecessary water use.
5) What about recreational equipment?
We have one canoe, two bikes, two kayaks, and inner tubes available for use. Feel free to bring your own bikes, cross country skies, snow shoes, fishing gear, hiking gear, rafts, etc. We recommend you bring old sneakers for playing in Pine Creek, makes the rocks easier on the feet. There are locations up and down Pine Creek for dropping off floaters or kayakers, make the journey as long as you like.
6) Is there a place for a Camp Fire?
The fire pit and patio overlooking the creek are there for your use. We will have some kindling and firewood available but you may want to stop and get some along the way. The gas station in Waterville typically sells firewood as well (about 3miles North on 44). Please be attentive of the Fire Warnings posted (depending on the weather) and DO NOT leave fires unattended. The fire pit is on the creek... put it out when you’re done.
